Two weeks before Easter, I was travelling on a train, on my way home. I could not stop at my usual station, because the station was under reconstruction. I had to go a further five extra stations stops, and return on the same train to the opposite side of my designated stop. I began to read a book, and I was interrupted by a fellow subway rider, who wanted to sit on the inner seat. She asked me for an excuse, and I moved aside to allow her to sit.

A few stops later, my train neighbor, asked me if the train was stopping at a specific designation. I answered in the negative, and informed her how she can get to the correct station. She then told me, that she has to catch another train, and she had nothing to eat at home. She then inquired if I had anything to eat. That day, for some reason, I had cut up some apples and papaw into small cubes, and put same in a zip lock bag, just in case I get hungry, on my journey. I immediately gave her the entire bag of cut fruits. She accepted it, with gratitude, and began eating immediately.

A joy filled my heart, to know that I helped someone in need. In my mind, I saw an abundance of fruits, and knew that I will always have enough to spare and share. God is unlimited, and I am unlimited. One of the benefits of Easter is linking our self to divine substance.

I am sure that you had a similar experience, and realized that as we utilize our talents, they multiply. We do not hide them under a bushel, instead we invest them in the Kingdom of God. We do not say no, when we can afford to say yes.
